Explore Beaumont - We love our pets. When we first moved to Beaumont it seemed everyone had trucks and kids and dogs. We see dogs everywhere!
Although we don’t get out for many long walks or trips to the dog parks very often, we have a 13-year-old deaf pug named Zeus. He came to us as a giveaway who was about to be abandoned at the SPCA. We cleaned up his diet, took him to the vet got a yeast infection under control and got him back in shape. He doesn’t have many teeth left and he sleeps about 21 hours a day, but he is the most loyal dog we have ever had.
We also have a 13 year-old fat cat named Laser Cat, yes, after the SNL skit. If you haven't seen the video, just youtube search 'SNL Laser Cats' and you will understand the joke! We keep him indoors only and when we moved to Beaumont, we wanted to double check the rules on outdoor cats and pet licenses. We checked out www.Beaumont.ab.ca for details.
It is so handy to have a licence for your pet in case they ever get lost. The animal control in Beaumont was very responsive and helpful this summer when we needed help locating an owner for a lost pup in our neighbourhood. The owner was too! Just a situation where a child had forgotten to latch the gate in the yard, and....
Your annual pet license is coming up due next week. Payment due by Feb 15 yearly.

$30 for Spayed or Neutered Pets
$40 for Unspayed or Neutered Pets
*Free for Seniors aged 65 or older! (The owners, not the pets
)
