Beaumont Helping Hands

Explore Beaumont - Since we have moved here we have found everyone to be extremely friendly. Beaumont seems to have that small town vibe where neighbours are willing to come help you shovel your walks, or borrow tools, or even offer helpful suggestions of where to get your hair done or where to get your car fixed.

We’ve been very lucky to get to know our neighbours over the last year and despite COVID, everyone has been very kind and helpful if ever asked. Although it’s been difficult because we’ve been homeschooling and basically just going to work and isolating because of COVID, we’re looking forward to things opening up again and getting involved in kids sports and other community events to get to know more people around Beaumont.

In the meantime, we have noticed there is some INCREDIBLE helpful hands and initiatives taken up by community members to help each other out.

Did you know that at Central Circle there is the community food box? It’s there to help out if you Ever need help with your pantry. It’s regularly filled by donation of non-perishable goods and is there for the taking and giving. If you ever have extras in your pantry to donate for those in need please feel free to do so in the blue box at Central Circle Park and if you were ever in need of help please feel free to go take what you need.

There is a in Facebook group for Beaumont upcycling (Paying It Forward Beaumont) where nothing is bought and sold for money but rather given away. Items can be reused or recycled and given away for free to those in need. We love the idea of being able to reuse items that may be junk or garbage to one and can be somebody else’s treasure. We were able to pick up a bouncy castle with a quick repair on this Facebook group and this has been put up in the basement during this polar vortex to help keep the kids active and engaged on indoor days.

We’ve also started the explore Beaumont Snow Angels program so if you ever need help getting your driveway or sidewalks blown off we are happy to help please just send us a message and we will come by to do what we can.

Another shout out is to wok box here in Beaumont. We consistently see posts online where they are willing to help out families in need and if your hungry to go in and ask for a meal whether it’s a juice box or a small meal- what a fantastic way to help out the community and that no one should ever be hungry.

Fresh Bakery also regularly has day-old bread for free for those in need available with a purchase please check them out.

If you have friends or family doing good things in our community and are willing to share that information please send us a message and will throw a shout out on this page to get the word out for them.

Thanks - and keep being great neighbours Beaumont!
